The Museum of Light is an exploration of the interwoven relationship between light and the experience of wonder. Light is an enigma, it is invisible and yet affords the experience of sight. Light is simultaneously a particle and a wave. Light is integral to human existence and acts as a conduit between individual experience and universal space. Wonder is a disruption which alters established sensory patterns and offers a counterpoint to the habitual. When combined, light and wonder affords an expansion of vision. The objects and materials in the Museum of Light collection investigate ways in which light can be used to re-frame the individual experience of universal space and to initiate experiences of wonder.
