Peripheries and Perception

The city is a dense and complex network of private units, public spaces, and streams of infrastructure. Though we constantly pass through these different spaces and their usage changes by program, unless explicitly told so, we are entirely unaware of ownership within the city. Peripheries & Perception explores spatial surveillance through the broadcasting of occupant’s movements within the gridded space and begins to explore what is lost when public space is privately controlled.
