The digital revolution has marked a new age for society, the Information age. We communicate via apps, buy groceries on the internet and entertain ourselves at the touch of a button. Our lives are as much online as they are off but are these online experiences as rich as the physical ones?
The game format of the Have-A-Day simulation creates expectation in the player of some form of advancement. However this is not the case. Instead it offers only a narrative, a condensed version of life. The anti-climatic structure and lack of rewards along the way could make the experience monotonous and hard to engage with, but this is only a simulation, it is not real life.
