Roger Casement, a (graphic) biography, or biofictography for those skeptical of objective truths, perhaps

This is a graphic novel exploring the life of Irish human rights advocate, homosexual, and radical republican Roger Casement (1864-1916). Albeit, in the light of nearly 100 years of dispute over what that life contained–particularly, a set of sexually explicit diaries–itis a biography exploring the frustrations and futility of trying to obtain objective knowledge on the interior life of another person. Casement’s life, and this graphic novel, is a microcosm of the huge changes and contradictions of the 20th Century, and the evolution of the concept of individual liberty for all, regardless of race or sexual orientation. This promotional print for the finished book teases the main characters and conflicts, which will be revealed in the full graphic novel this June.
