community - what is it?

Stable and harmonised communities traditionally contribute to the creation of a strongly woven fabric called “society”. The definition of “community” is evolving into new, often not yet understood or recognisable forms. The need to understand and adapt to these new identities is necessary, but also to look at the potentials to prepare for the needs of changes in the ingredients of our society. As the aging population continues to amass – it is still a fact – none of us will yet escape “getting old” – the question marks hanging over the future of pensions, health/social care and general wellbeing could have resolutions lying within this structure called “community.” This work is the beginning of looking at what is current community, and asks what it is for you.
