A series informed by an ongoing project looking at the way everyday objects can unlock forgotten memories. The images explore the object through pattern design and the layering of deconstructed shapes, by implication invoking layers of memory.

A lost umbrella.
Left to circle the tube.
Unlocks a forgotten memory.
A garden in bloom.
Parasols tumbling in the breeze.
Boiled eggs for lunch.
Yet as quickly as it is found.
The memory fades.
Details blur over.
As though I gazed too long.
